Sundays at OSLC   Sundays at OSLC

Children and their faith are very important at Our Savior’s!

From September through May, Sunday School is offered during The EveryOne Learning Hour from 10:00am – 10:55am.

Lambs Nursery:
For children 0-3 we have a wonderful nursery staff to care for your child during the 9:00am worship service. During worship services we welcome children of all ages. There are times when your child may not want to sit quietly and our upstairs bawl room above the sanctuary is also available.
During the Learning Hour from 10:00am-10:55am, (September- May) there is L.A.M.B.S. time in the nursery (Learning About My Blessed Savior) which is an Early Childhood faith formation for our youngest. Here, infants and toddlers will have the Bible story told to them using finger puppets, hand puppets or reading. There will be a basic craft encouraging play with textures and developing motor skills and hand-eye coordination.

Preschool through 5th Grade:
Students will gather at the front of the sanctuary and depart during the closing hymn to Sunday School & Music Time with their teachers at 10am. Children’s parents are expected to stay on campus while their students are attending Sunday School. Each class will adventure with their teachers in Sunday School where there will be activities, crafts and Bible study. Classes end at 10:55am. Parents are asked to pick their student up directly from the classroom, as students will not be dismissed without a parent checking them out. Children spend time learning a bible based lesson that reflects the text of the day. Art and activities are a fun part of this developmental and spiritual learning environment.

Middle School & High School Youth are invited to a time of fellowship and service during the Learning Hour 10:00 am- 10:55am. This is a time to volunteer in the Sunday School classrooms, Nursery LAMBS or help out with the Families Feeding Families lunch building. Youth Group for all MS & HS youth is held 11am- 12:30pm, ending with a meal together. Youth group is a time to share devotionals and bible lessons, music and fun activities down stairs in the Fireside Room. This is open for all youth 6th-12th grade. For more information on Youth Ministry click here.

Confirmation is a time for youth and their families to share in faith development, Scripture and Catechism.
Designed for Middle School students and their parents. This is a two year program. For more information on Confirmation click here.

Adults Learn too!
During the Learning Hour, while kids learn- adults learn too. One of the things we believe at OSLC is faith practices are learned by witnessing others doing them as well. As students witness their own parents and congregational members learning, it allows for multi-generational conversations to develop around a similar text or theme. Adult lessons will be held in the Lounge, Everyone Room or one of the designated classrooms. Topics and Forums will be posted in the Sunday bulletin.

EveryOne Sundays!
We love to learn and play together here at Our Savior’s! We realize the benefit of an 8 year old walking in faith alongside an 88 year old. EveryOne Sunday’s are offered sporadically throughout the year, where EveryOne in the congregation gets to engage in a topic, event, or craft together. Watch for the upcoming notice to be posted of what’s coming up!
