Welcome to our Pre-K1 classes designed for curious 4-year-olds! In this engaging and nurturing environment, young learners embark on a journey of discovery through interactive play, creative activities, and socialization. Our dedicated educators foster a love of learning, laying the foundation for a positive, exciting educational experience. Numbers, letter recognition, writing their name, and using scissors are some of the skills your child will master throughout the year.

Our Pre-K2 class is for more mature 4 & 5-year-olds and typically focuses on building advanced cognitive skills, social development, and introducing more complex concepts. Including advanced pre-literacy and pre-math activities, encouraging independence, and more hands-on projects.

Our new Half-Day Kindergarten Equivalent program is designed around purposeful, hands-on learning that sparks curiosity, builds independence, and encourages a love of learning. We intentionally maintain very low student-to-teacher ratios (fewer than 8:1), so each child is known, supported, and challenged as an individual. While aligned with Washington State's OSPI learning standards, our priority is developing confident, capable learners who are socially and emotionally prepared to meet new challenges and transition successfully into first grade.
This program operates as a license-exempt educational program.

Our Nature Class combines intentional curriculum with play-based, child-led learning in an outdoor setting. Children explore our outdoor classroom at OSLCP, which includes a garden, mud kitchen, digging area, outdoor library, open-ended building materials, sheltered picnic tables, a fire pit for warmth and occasional cooking, and space for movement and games. Learning happens through hands-on exploration, collaboration, and play. This class is held entirely outdoors. Children should come dressed for the weather.

Children dive into hands-on STEAM exploration each week through cooking, weather investigations, music, movement, and creative building. Weekly labs and messy projects invite children to experiment, collaborate, and play while building curiosity, confidence, and problem-solving skills.
