Worship Band

Our volunteer worship band is a multigenerational group of talented musicians who lead worship with energy, heart, and harmony. Featuring high school students alongside adult members of the congregation, the band brings a rich, eclectic sound to our services. They draw from a wide range of genres—folk, rock, blues, bluegrass, and pop ballads—and often put a contemporary spin on traditional hymns and liturgical pieces. Instruments include piano, drums, bass, keys, electric guitar, and acoustic guitar, with gifted vocalists who offer beautiful harmonies. Led by Dane Ueland on acoustic guitar and lead vocals, the band creates a worship experience that is heartfelt, creative, and deeply connected.

Chancel Choir

OSLC Chancel Choir is a SATB choral ensemble led by Lee Mathews for the past 20 years. This group of dedicated singers performs a wide variety of traditional classical choral repertoire along with a mix of contemporary pieces by today’s composers. This ensemble rehearses on a regular basis on Thursday evenings and shares their music with the congregation nearly every Sunday morning during worship. In addition, the Chancel Choir performs cantatas and longer choral programs during Advent, Christmas, Holy Week and Easter often with instrumental accompaniment. Making Waves

Making Waves

Making Waves is a youth music program at Our Savior’s led by band director Dane Ueland. Our high school group gathers most Sundays after worship in the sanctuary to rehearse and make joyful music together, with a focus on brass but also including keys, guitar, bass, and more. In the past, we've also offered a Wednesday evening “Making Waves” program for middle schoolers, introducing musical concepts through ukulele, xylophone, and percussion. These sessions are a fun and welcoming way for younger students to build confidence and foundational skills. We’re hoping to launch another middle school course next fall—if you’re interested, let Dane know!

Organ

Organ

Since its original installation in 1969 by Casavant Frères Ltée., Our Savior’s Lutheran Church has been blessed by the wonderful organ in the sanctuary. Consisting of two keyboards and full pedal board, this 22-rank instrument contains a total of 1,245 pipes. The organ provides robust support when the congregation sings hymns of praise. During the worship service, it provides wonderful versatility, varying from quietly reflective tones during communion to postludes of thrilling celebration. The organ, within the reverberant acoustic of the beautiful sanctuary, is one of the finest organs in Snohomish County.
