Children and their faith are very important at Our Savior’s!

From September through May, Sunday School is offered during The EveryOne Learning Hour from 10:00am – 10:50am. For a recent flyer of offerings please click here for the CYFM Flyer for SS registration

L.A.M.B.S. Time: Children who are ages 0-3 yrs old, can participate in Learning About My Blessed Savior Time in the Little Lambs Nursery, which is an early childhood faith formation class. Here, infants and young children learn Bible stories using action songs, hand puppets, and picture books read to them. A basic craft encourages play with textures, development of fine motor skills, and hand-eye coordination. Our age-appropriate, faith-based curriculum is sung with the children, and encourages brain development, music appreciation, self-awareness and cooperation skills. We round out our time together by participating in quarterly age-appropriate service projects to help develop compassion towards others and our world.

Preschool through 5th Grade:
Children spend time learning a Bible-based lesson that reflects the text of the day. Music Time with the Worship Band, crafts, and other activities are a fun part of this developmental and spiritual learning environment. Parents/guardians are expected to stay on campus while their students are attending Sunday School, and are asked to pick-up their student directly from the classroom, since children will not be dismissed without a parent/guardian checking them out.

Middle School & High School Youth are invited to a time just for them, during Learning Hour 10:00 am- 10:50am. This is a time to do service with the Sunday School classrooms, make sack lunches for the homeless, and volunteer in the Cafe. Youth group time is at 11am – 12:30pm every Sunday and is a time to share devotionals and bible lessons, music and fun activities down stairs in the Fireside Room. This is open for all youth 6th-12th grade. For more information on Youth Ministry click here.

Confirmation is a time for youth and their families to share in faith development, Scripture and Catechism.
Designed for Middle School students and their parents. This is a two year program. For more information on Confirmation click here.

Little Lambs Nursery: Our Little Lambs Nursery is one of the first places that parents and children experience not only the hospitality of our congregation but also our faith. These first experiences at church are formative and essential. Therefore, we strive to provide an atmosphere in our nursery that will encourage and nurture the children and faith of the families. During the 9:00 am Sunday worship, our Little Lambs Nursery is open to children ages 0-3 yrs old. Shepherd’s Staff provide a time for Free Play for toddlers and Tummy Time for infants, and escort the children to the sanctuary for a special blessing during Communion. Children in the nursery also participate in the Littlest Lutherans, which is a type of “children’s church” open to infants through 2nd Graders, during the adult sermon. Participants engage in an age-appropriate Bible story, Circle Time discussion, songs, games, puppetry and crafts for 15-20 minutes and then return to the Sanctuary (unless your child is already checked into the nursery).

Little Lambs Cry Room: We encourage families to worship with their little ones, but understand that young children like to move and make joyful noises. Therefore, our Little Lambs Cry Room, above the Sanctuary space, is also available and allows families to worship together where young children can move about and play with toys or look at books, while their caregivers listen and view the service over our speaker system and viewing area. Please ask an usher for directions to this space.
