Children, Youth & Family Activities
From newborn babies to teenagers in High School, youth and their families are all important at Our Savior’s.
Children and their faith are very important at Our Savior’s!
From September through May, Sunday School is offered during The EveryOne Learning Hour from 10:00am – 10:50am. For a recent flyer of offerings please click here for the CYFM Flyer for SS registration
Preschool through 5th Grade:
Children spend time learning a Bible-based lesson that reflects the text of the day. Music Time with the Worship Band, crafts, and other activities are a fun part of this developmental and spiritual learning environment. Parents/guardians are expected to stay on campus while their students are attending Sunday School, and are asked to pick-up their student directly from the classroom, since children will not be dismissed without a parent/guardian checking them out.
Middle School & High School Youth are invited to a time just for them, during Learning Hour 10:00 am- 10:50am. This is a time to do service with the Sunday School classrooms, make sack lunches for the homeless, and volunteer in the Cafe. Youth group time is at 11am – 12:30pm every Sunday and is a time to share devotionals and bible lessons, music and fun activities down stairs in the Fireside Room. This is open for all youth 6th-12th grade. For more information on Youth Ministry click here.
Confirmation is a time for youth and their families to share in faith development, Scripture and Catechism.
Designed for Middle School students and their parents. This is a two year program. For more information on Confirmation click here.
Nursery: During the 9:00 am Sunday worship, our nursery is open to children ages 0-3 yrs old.
Littlest Lutherans: This is a type of “children’s church” open to infants through 2nd Graders, during the adult sermon. Participants engage in an age-appropriate Bible story, Circle Time discussion, songs, games, puppetry and crafts for 15-20 minutes and then return to the Sanctuary (unless your child is already checked into the nursery).
Cry Room: We encourage families to worship with their little ones, but understand that young children like to move and make joyful noises. Therefore, our Cry Room, above the Sanctuary space, is also available and allows families to worship together where young children can move about and play with toys or look at books, while their caregivers listen and view the service over our speaker system and viewing area. Please ask an usher for directions to this space.
