At Our Savior’s, when we say we’re a Place for EveryOne, we mean it! We are proud of all the things we offer to friends of all ages, and we believe in offering choices to reach every family member where they’re at to get the most out of their experience here.
- Nursery: For children 0-3 we have a wonderful nursery staff to care for your child during both worship services.
- Toolkits: Activity Bags that can be found in the back of the sanctuary, our toolkits are complete with coloring pages, quiet toys, and other items to help enhance children’s worship experience.
- Spark Story Bibles can be found in some of the pews in the sanctuary and children can follow along with the texts of the day, or read something that interests them!
- Littlest Lutherans Lookout: Whether you need space for little ones to wander, a place to change a diaper, breastfeed, or simply looking for some solitude, the Lookout is open and available for you. Speakers help you to hear every second of the service, there’s also a changing table available, as well as toys, books, rocking chairs, hymnals, and Bibles. We hope this is a place that enhances your worship service experience, without feeling any sense of guilt, no matter what you use it for. The entrance to the Lookout is on the right as you enter into the sanctuary.
- Prayground: coming soon!
Godly Play Spoken Here
The Godly Play® method is a curriculum of spiritual practice exploring the mystery of God’s presence in our lives. The Godly Play curriculum engages what is most exciting about religious education: God inviting us into—and pursuing us in the midst of—Scripture and spiritual experience. Godly Play practice teaches us to listen for God and to make authentic and creative responses to God’s call in our lives.
Open to children preschool-age through elementary, we meet for Godly Play during the 9:00am worship service.
Intended for our “pre-readers”, children are able to participate in developmentally appropriate activities that are centered around the Lectionary text, giving them opportunity to explore their faith through play. We meet during the 10:00am hour on Sundays with Ms. Lindsey.
Kids Ring & Sing
Following the 9am service and Godly Play, parents are invited to bring 3rd-5th grades to Ring & Sing in the sanctuary. Led by Lee Mathews, Roberta Foreman, and Lisa Egtvedt.
